Dear Rotarians and friends,
The new total donations/pledges: RM269,000.
I shall tell you a creative approach in fund raising by another empowered spouse
of a Rotarian from Kuching. Using Whatsapp, she contacted all her family contacts
and raised RM6,000 in one day.
She kindly handed me the cheque in Kuching yesterday before I left for JB yesterday.
Again, this is another significant act of kindness and it is inspiring.
I hope more people can step up one notch to do similar gesture in your clubs, and with friends.
We will round up the donations collected & will try to remit them to Philippines this week. I am leaving for Cebu next Monday for 8 days to follow up on relief work there.
