Withdrawal of 5 out of the 6 proposed Resolutions tabled in the Melaka EGM

Dear Presidents

After urgent deliberation, The R.I. District 3310 Berhad Board (The Board) has decided to withdraw 5 of the 6 proposed resolutions namely:

1. Proposed Resolution on the guide to daily living;

2. Proposed Resolution on the Nominating Committee;

3. Proposed Resolution on the use of District Funds;

4. Proposed Resolution on the standard evaluation criteria for nominating DG Candidate and;

6. Proposed Resolution to amend Article 7.3 of the Berhad’s M&A.

The Board discovered that too many errors have taken place in their presentations. In addition, the legal opinion sought from PP Derrick Wong, who is also a member of the District Constitution and Resolution Committee, shows that there are legal flaws in the proposed resolutions.The Board therefore wishes to study all matters in depth  before making further request for change.

Meantime, the Board appreciates any suggestions from members (to be submit as written papers) for the improvement of the management of the Board, for its consideration.

The Board extends its sincere apologies for the discomfort and disquiet caused by these mistakes.

The EGM will still be held as scheduled on 12 June 2016 at 3.15pm at Seri Malaysia Hotel Melaka. The only resolution will be to approve the appointment of m/s Ahmad Abdullah & Goh as the external auditor of the Berhad for the current financial year.
