The deadline for submitting original video to Rotary International’s first official Interact video contest has been extended to 1 October.

So if you haven’t already, here’s your chance to become filmmakers. Grab a camera and make a video, three minutes or less, about what Interact means to you. Then enter it in our contest.

Who is eligible to enter?
The worldwide video contest is open to Interact clubs and individual Interactors, and to Rotarians whose club sponsors an Interact club. You must be 14 or older to participate, and you may only submit one video.

How do I enter?
During the contest period, join the 2009 Interact Video Contest group on YouTube. Follow the instructions to create or log into your YouTube account, and to upload and submit your video. Finally, complete the entry form, and e-mail it to RI.

What are the prizes?
The grand-prize winner’s video will appear in the November 2009 issue of Interactive, a monthly online multimedia publication, which will coincide with World Interact Week. The two first-place winners will be featured on YouTube.

NOTE: A minor (a person under 18 years of age) who submits an entry should receive permission from a parent or legal guardian and include that person’s name and daytime phone number on the entry form.
