Governor’s Message
Dear fellow Rotarians,

DGE Datuk Haji Md Latip Sarrugi and Datin Hajjah Salmah Binte Md Ghani
We have seen past Rotary generations succeed with their works and achievements in serving the communities of the world and we are justifiably proud of this great organization which we belonged to. We also know that great Rotary traditions have been forged in the past through fellowship in order to build a greater bond between fellow Rotarians. With that established bond, we develop trust among ourselves and make it possible to visualize the future of Rotary.
We are desirous to build even stronger links to the future so that future generations of Rotarians can continue to up-hold the Rotary flagship and to continue to give hope to humanity blighted by diseases, poverty, hunger, illiteracy, lack of water, conflicts and wars. With this installation of the new President of your club, let us renew our vigor and commitment in the pledge of “Service Above Self.”
Rotary International has developed a strategic plan with seven priorities that will help us secure a stronger future in a changing world. To realize this dream, let us take up each and everyone of the challenges of these seven priorities posed to us: eradicating folio, advancing the recognition and public image of Rotary, increasing Rotary’s capacity to provide service, expending membership globally in both numbers and quality, emphasizing Rotary’s unique vocational service commitments, optimizing leadership talents and fully implementing the strategic planning process to ensure continuity.
To embark upon this Rotary year 2009/10 successfully, Rotarians of this club must possess the feeling of greatness for being together as fellow Rotarians; demonstrate to your community that Rotarians are in union at heart and soul in doing service to the people.
This, you must for The Future of Rotary is in Your Hands.
Yours very truly,
Datuk Haji Md Latip Sarrugi
District Governor 2009-2010
Rotary International – District 3310
