Dear Friends

I am pleased to inform you that our District had 2 GGs approved by TRF today. (Please see below)

IPP Nidhi and her team from RC Raffles City worked extremely hard to make this GG happen. This is a landmark GG, being the first ever VTT GG approved by District 3310 and for District 3310. This is also the 7th GG (5 from RC Singapore and 1 for RC Pandan Valley) to be approved for Singapore. It is my sincere wish that we continue to craft and implement more GGs in our District as we continue our journey with Global Grants.

Primary Contact PP Roger Ng and Pres Anand of RC Bugis Junction made a huge leap with the approval of the first ever RC Bugis Junction Rotary Eye Hospital in Jeypore, India. I placed on record once again on, my appreciation for PDG Chew Ghim Bok, for his guidance and leadership in ensuring this approval.

The District Grants Team is finally reaping the rewards of the work for GGs for more RCs in our District and Singapore. My thanks to DRFC PDG Zainie, DG Datuk Lee, IDG Henry and Incoming Chair PP Yaw Hua for their commitment and belief in the Global Grant model. Both the above projects came from a large corpus of DDF from RY 2017/2018. I would like to thank IPDG Michael Yee for sharing the Grants Team’s vision as well as PDG Ghim Bok again for the extremely large contribution to Annual Fund 3 years before that.

I hope both Raffles City and Bugis Junction will consider inviting other RCs in the District to their GG events as well as consider promoting the Public Image of their Projects, Clubs and Rotary.

Thank you!!

PP Dr. Shahul Hameed
District Grants Chair
